Howard Conyers Campbell
Campbell was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, in 1961 and grew up in the small agrarian community of Metter, Georgia. He was immersed as a young person in the vast outdoors, and the many dimensions of nature.
He is a contemporary abstract artist, who creates paintings that express vibrant colors and shapes in intricate compositions. He also has a love for painting the dark, gritty depths of nature as well because nature is all of this. One does not exist without the other. His noted personal style emanates joy, peace, harmony, and melancholy with a vivid imagination. and artistic talent. Campbell states, “When I paint the world outside, it disappears. An artist can feel a connection to creation when they’re involved in what they do”. He adds bold lines, scrapes, and new shapes to the many layers of the paintings. He sometimes integrates his paintings with newspaper, magazines, and books.
The artist graduated with a Bachelors of Technology in Printing Management-Layout & Design. He has traveled throughout Europe. These adventures cemented an insatiable desire to become a full-time artist. Moving forward, what he creates will incorporate the principles of spirit, love, and the beauty in nature.
